Abs question

I have a 2003 Suburban with 118,000 miles. Coming home from a trip yesterday the abs light went off in the truck, then went off. A little while later when braking, the pedal went further than normal and made a snapping noise, brakes still worked fine. The abs light stayed on for 150-160 miles, then went off. This morning did not come on, braked seem normal again

The abs light can tell the dealer or shop that can read your abs codes what the problem is, if it self corrected, I would wait till it returns, the regular brakes will still funtion even if the abs is out, unless of coures you have a leak! But then Both lights would come on! In my experience when the light goes on and off a wheel sensor is either bad or loose...
