1991 Chevy Sprint tire size
Tires and Wheels problem
1991 Chevy Sprint Two Wheel Drive Automatic 72000 miles
This model OEM with 165/65R13 tires. This size is no longer freely available. What would you reccomend as an alternative? The size 165/70R13 is available, but not widely available. Would the 175/70R13 work adequately though it is over 5% diameter difference.I realize that it would alter the speed indicated by 5.6% too slow. Am only concerned about brake failure. This is basically just a city car with limited highway speed use.

175/70R13 will work just great. Brake failure is not an issue. Each tire will weigh about 1.5lb extra, so that is about 6 lbs for the set. That is negligible.
Just keep in mind that your speedometer will be about 5% slower than the actual speed.
