1986 Chevy Sprint Did not get gas to the cylinders

Engine Performance problem
1986 Chevy Sprint Front Wheel Drive Manual 136000 miles

I bought the car used and it has been running good for last 3 years; One day while I slow down to turn right at intersection, it's die. I cranked and cranked but it won't start. I looked in carburetor and see a lot of gas in the throat but spark plugs are dry. it seems like the gas did not get to the cylinders. Are there a gas shutoff valve on this car that prevent gas from get to cylinders or something is wrong with carburetor.
