electrical problems

i have a problem with my tail lights brake lights and licence plate lights not working? i tryed the ground and then i tryed to turn my ignition on to check them now it does not turn and the horn goes off constantly. what should i do????????
o it is a 99 chevy silverado 80000 miles 4.6l

have you checked all fuses first ???? is there a hitch on the vehicle ??

yes i did all fine it hase a bumper hitch

one last question are there any interior lights out and do you have a trailer hook up wiring harnedd

why did you unhook it ??? the reason i ask thereis one wire that runs from the front to the rear that wroks the interior lights and the running lights , one brown wire goes from the switch splits to the front and rear and the interior light when it gets to the back it splts between the two taillights

i got in an acident and it pinched the harness wires so it thoght that was the problem but it was not. there is that dumb spliter block in the rear that splits everything form the one main harness. but no lights are out it the cab

find and follow the brown wire , it does split off like i said but if you keep checking upstream you will find your problem
