2003 Chevy Silverado AC/Heater blower speed only works on 5
Heater problem
2003 Chevy Silverado Four Wheel Drive Automatic 155000 miles
My blower ONLY works on #5, so it is blowing hard all the time if i want heat or A/C. Any suggestions on this? This is something that began over a year ago and has not worked for 1 day since.
I read the blower motor resistor is a possible cause, but how do I prove that out?

Yellow-- tan-- lite blue-- purple are voltage circuits for the lower speeds, which wire color depends on which speed. When the relay is not energized, there is continuity for the lower speeds, when the relay is energized, there is only continuity for the high speed circuit. My first thought is the resistor. I didn't look up parts book, don't know if relay is part of resistor assembly or separate?
