I have a 2003 chevy silverado 5.3liter it has 80,000 miles. My question is when I turn on the air it always blows out the defrost. Will not stay where the control knob is. How do I fix this?

Is it electronic if yes
need a motor
If not check you vacuum hoses

I think you are having an issue with the mode door actuator. If you have a good scanner, you can compare the mode actuator desired counts to the actual counts. This will tell you if you have an actuator problem.
