Truck not running the first time turning over?

I have a problem with my truck not turning over the first time. After trying the first time it will start up sometimes dogging, sometimes perfectly, but after its been running for the day it will start right up every time. Ive tried lucus oil fuel injector cleaner and this has helped some and a new fuel filter, but it will not fire the first time of any morning. Any other ideas.

Hello,

If you have not done it recently, you should get the engine tuned up.
It sounds like when the engine is cold it does not start up, it could be due to build up on the mass air flow sensor or clogged idle air control valve and other components.

By doing a basic tune up many time it can help improve typical drivability issue like not starting up when cold.
