Hello, first of all thank you for offering this website. I am a single mom, and dont know much about how to fix cars, and cant afford to be ripped off.
I took my truck for emissions, and failed. "Key-on engine running- fail" Code "0332". and "MIL Commanded on- fail" I called the parts stores and they said I can buy a sensor for 42.99, but couldnt tell me the location of where the part needs to go. My neighbor owns a mechanic shop, and offered to put in on a machine for 75.00, but i dont know if it needs that. can you help me, please.

Thank you VERY MUCH!

Hello,

The Knock Sensor for the 5.0L and the 5.7L engines is located in the block just above the Oil Pan and in front of the Starter.

If you have the funds you can purchase a OBD2 Codes Scanner for under $100 and your local parts store.

You could possibly replace the part yourself if you think your up to it. All you will need is a Wrench, the correct size, to fit the sensor.
