1998 Chevy Silverado Transmission Swap
Transmission problem
1998 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 265000 miles
Automatic transmiission has gone out on 1998 4x4 Chevy with 4L60e transmission. Have located good used 4L60e transmission with transfer case out of 1995 4x4 Chevy. Will a early model 4L60e work to replace a later model 4L60e or will modifications need to be made?

As long as it is a 4L60E you should be fine. Just check to make sure all the electrical plugs are the same. Thanks
