CHEVY THERMOSTAT GASKET

1995 Chevrolet Silverado

Engine Cooling problem
1995 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 180000 miles

I own a '95 Chevy Z71 Silverado pickup. I recently replaced the thermostat. When putting everything back together, the thermostat housing cracked. I replaced the housing with a new one. Every since replacing it, it has leaked. I have tried to put a paper gasket in addition to the rubber gasket that is suppose to be there. It still leaks. I am not sure where to go next. It leaks slowly when the pickup is running. Where do I go next?
