1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer CPI 4wd @ 230000 miles.

Immediately after replacing the Master Cylinder and Brake Power Booster I started having 2 problems.

The problems is intermittent.

It will surge at idle speed either at rest or when coasting down.

Sometimes it will die on breaking near or on a stop.

When I give it gas, it will rev up without a problem 95% of the time. The other 5% the surging is so bad it will take a few attempts before it revs up.

I can drive a few miles and the problem will come and go.

I have replaced the EGR valve and gave it a tune up with new plugs, cables, rotor, and distributor cap.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Could I have disturbed something when I replaced the Brake Power Booster and Master Cylinder?

Sounds like you need to backtrack on the booster install...Vacuum leak! Get some spray gumout and spray till you get an idle speed change, then you have located the leak! Don't forget to test the booster check valve! Air should travel 1 way only!

Finally took it to a shop.

After a 2 weeks of troubleshooting, the problem was found to be dirty electrical connection to the fuel injectors.

Yes good luck is needed.

It get a few seconds of surging on each trip to and from work.

So may have to replace the electrical connections....
