Haha sorry for the sarcastic subject, but i'm a bit peeved at my chevy at the moment. Recently, the timing chain busted, which seems to be just the start of my problems. That got fixed, but now, when I drive down the road, the stupid truck just quits. It doesn't even sputter, it just dies. I can shift into neutral, turn the key, and it starts right back up, for the most part. The shop I went to hooked it up to a computer, and it came back saying the bank 2 O2 sensor was bad. They fixed that, and the next day, it quit 8 times on the way home from work. The check engine light doesn't come on, it just happens without warning. There were no codes for the fuel pump that came up on the computer; all the codes we're cleared. Noone seems to know what the heck is going on with it. Any suggestions, even shooting in the dark, would be fantastic. Thanks!

Might sound stupid, but did they replace the crank sensor after the chain broke? It is magnetized, and if the chain rapped the timing cover in the area of the sensor, it may now have lost a bit of its magnitic pull.

Actually, nothing automotive sounds stupid to me. You could make up names of parts and I would nod and smile, believing every word of it. Lol

But about the crank sensor, I will definitely ask them about that. There was some pretty funky damage around the timing chain, I guess a piece by the chaing got caught on it and busted it right off. The mechanics are pretty experienced, and said they'd never seen anything like it. So you may be dead on. Thanks very much! I'll let you know in the next few days what the heck happened.
