1999 Chevy S-10 Heater/AC fan settings

1999 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive 179000 miles

My heater/AC fan control works only on #1, 3, and 4 settings and does not work on the #2 setting.

What is the most common source problem when the fan settings do not work?

How would I repair it?

most common for your problem is blower motor resister
