1997 Chevy S-10 PCM
Computer problem
1997 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 300k miles
I recently replaced a leaky fuel injector, since then my truck has an oddly erratic idle. A small 1-200 rpm bounce every second, barely noticeable, I didnt notice it, but the smog guy did when the service engine soon light came on in the middle of the test, so he wouldn't pass it. So I read a little on the Idle Control Valve and how when disconnected the PCM has to relearn the correct idle. Is there a procedure i need to imply or should it relearn on its own. would that even contribute to an rpm surge?

Could be an idle relearning problem fast way to do it is use a Tech1 scantool or just clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens
