I have a 1989 S-10... with a 4.3 Liter motor... over 100,000 miles... and when I bought it... someone had headers and dual exhaust ran on it... So... no Oxygen sensor was on it... I ran it that way for a few years... but recently put the Exhaust Manifold back on and a new crossover... took it back to single tailpipe... and put a new Oxygen Sensor in it... Now my enging runs terrible... It acts like it has a miss... When I am accelerating and speeding up its fine... and when you first start the truck and it is idling its fine... but when you try to run a constant speed it sputters and misses and acts like the fuel filter is bad or something... But I just changed the fuel filter in it and it is still acting up... Any suggestions???

spray choke cleaner under the TBI unit and if the idle changes you probably have a vacuum leak. Also check your hosses for being soft , if they are replace them. One other thing, the hose that leads to the MAP sensor on the firewall often screws up on these and closes so check that one as well...
