This seems to be a common problem with interior heater fans. Some say its the bearings going, some say its dust in the bearings of the motor and its time is short. The whirring noise is getting annoying but I need the heat, especially this winter! It is making this whirring sound in all 3 speeds of the blower.
Instead of taking apart the dash to get at the heater motor, could I just spray lots of silicone lubricant down the window defroster vents?
