1991 Chevrolet Other Repair Question

'91 G20 Conversion Van 350/700R4..Howling noise while shifin
My tranny shifts fine through all gears, including 4th (od)...but has a howling noise while shifing from 1st to 2nd. Tranny has around 400 miles after rebuild.
