Engine Performance problem
1988 Other Chevrolet Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 165000 miles
I have a 1988 Chevy pickup, Scottsdale model with a V8 350. I have replaced about everything to do with emissions and ignition, but whenever I accerate into passing gear the service engine light comes on and the truck runs a bit different. If I stop and restart, the problem goes away. Any ideas??

Any applicable codes? Maybe the system is going lean when you step on it? Have you checked the fuel pressure recently, changed the fuel filter?
