I have recently rebuilt my 327 sbc. Has a turbo 350 tranny. All is still stock. It has a edelbrock 600 square bore carb. My question is when it is ideling it does fine. But when I put it in gear it stalls or dies unless I use the gas a bit, also when I go to put it in gear I hit the brakes and it lopes and than dies every time. Would this be a vacuum leak? Or what would it be? Also I do hav a vac guage but idk the specs it should be at.

Try readjusting the A/F mix and the curb idle speed -once set at specific RPM -check the ignition timing if off -set it and then readjust the A/F mix and idle speed, also look for vac leaks by using a vacuum gauge

If there's no vac leak it should be 18-22 inch reading-down to 10-15 you got a leak somewhere

Is that manifold pressure or off the timed vacuum on the carb? And would you know the specs for all of the vacuum ports like where the pcv valve hooks up on the front of carb and the rear where the pwr vac brakes are?

There's no specs involved here if the vacuum readings is low start inspecting the vac hoses if its leaking or connected-you can use a carb cleaner around the intake manifold if there's a leak the idle will smooth out
