1970 Chevy Monte Carlo Starter problems.

I tested my alternator and it's good but my batt. Is always losing it's charge. It's an new old batt.

I don't know what a new old batt is? Use a hydrometer to test the battery! This will tell you if there is a bad cell.

What I meant was that it's an old batt. But it's new in my car. It hasn't been used so it was just sitting around. I think it might be bad.

Not to mention it may not be the right one for your car? Loosen the money belt, get a brand spankin new battery!
