2002 Chevy Malibu Wont start

Hi: About a month ago the car was hard starting and
we tryed a new battery and it started ok for a few times then it would start and run for a while. Now it
does'nt start at all.I tryed to turn it onto the On pos
for five min and in about 2 min it began to turn on the gauge lights and door locks on and off ovre and over again untill I shut the thing off. It's not the theft
system because I disconnected that.I also bought a new key and it didnt seem to mater. Is it possible to
use a scanner when the check engine ligth is not on
and the car isnt running? Thank you, Tim.

When you try to start does the engine turn but wont start?
Or you have nothing if so
did you try to get the battery recharged and or try a jump
also check the battery terminals

UNFORTUNATELY YOU CANNOT DISCONNECT THE THEFT SYSTEM, ITS IMPOSSIBLE. ALSO IF YOU TRIED ANOTHER KEY WITHOUT PROGRAMMING IT FIRST YOUR CREATING A NEW PROBLEM. TO ELIMINATE THE THEFT SYSTEM SCENERIO, CRANK THE ENGINE THEN LEAVE THE KEY ON AND OBSERVE THE THEFT LIGHT, IT SHOULD STAY ON FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN TURN OUT, IF THERE IS A PROBLEM IT WILL FLASH. LET US KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT.
