1990 Chevy Lumina V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 183000 miles

I have a 1990 lumina car 3.1 183000 miles im loosing antifreeze from somthing thats on my firewall and when I turn my heater on I smell antifreeze really bad and when I turn off my heater my windshield fogs up on me im not sure what the problem is I heard it is the heater coil please help as soon as possible thanx charles

Yes it sounds like a bad heater core to me! Or loose hoses.

hello im charles sorry to bother u but I have a quetion
im tring to replace my heater core in my 1990 chevy lumina 3.1 car right now im tring to remove the core cover but I cant figure out what type of screw or bolt it might be I tried a 5.5 mm socket I tried a phillips screw driver I cant get it please help as son as posible
thanx inadvance charles

I've look for the size of bolt/screw in my references not available couldn't give -could it be a torx heads screw.

It is either a 5.5, 7, 8 or 10mm maybe 1/4 only size GM uses in the interiors. The center is a Torx, #15 or #20

I belive torx #15, stock on most.
