I have a 01Chevy Impala LS 3.8 with 130,000 miles. It recently had a tune-up and the battery cables replaced. The trans has been flushed and fluids replaced about 30,000 miles ago. The problem I'm having with the trans, it's starting shift really hard and it's slipping after a long drive. Is this a major problem or a expensive repair? I also have a starting issue. Sometimes after driving long or short distances it won't start right away, I have to wait 10-15 minutes before the car will start. I had the ignition replaced when I first bought the vehicle. The car is payed off and I don't really want to get rid of it, still in good shape. Would this be a costly repair? Thanks, appreciate any help I can get.

The trans, I would have the PCM scanned to see if it stored any trans codes. No start- does it turn over and not start or not turn over at all? Could be a bad starter, sometimes they fail hot but work when cooled down
