KEY FOBS WORKING OFF AND ON
2002 Impala 3.8 29,250 miles. Sometimes the key fobs work and then they don't. Both fobs have been cleaned, batteries changed, and reprogrammed. Once I enter the car with the key the fob will work for awhile and then fail several hours later. Cold mornings and hot days bring more failures. Dealer checked battery and wires and when the car was left there for diagnostic, the fobs worked! Signal problem? Fuse problem? Module problem? Both fobs need replacing at the same time? Onstar Diagnosis negative also. When the fob works all the doors and warnings are fine. When it doesn't, it won't unlock doors, trunk or sound alarm. Worried that this will progress to a real problem and it is a safety factor as well. Appreciate your comment and help. Thanks. Anne
