Impala wont take gas

I have a 2000 impala LS. My problem is sometimes it takes gas at some times it fills for a second and runs all over the place. It make sit seem like the tank is full and its overflowing but I am positive it isnt because I filled it up a long time ago. The gas gauge is at the bottom and and the light has gone off. SOme one PLEASE help me this is the most obnoxious thing of all time.

PLEASE for the love of god someone help!

It sounds like the air in the tank is not being vented out the filler pipe. Try while putting gas in it, rock the vehicle a little this should get the air lock out.
