Fuel injector

2004 chevy impala 3.4L 40k miles. My car is idleing really bad and when u start the car their is smoke coming from the exaust pipe and it smells like rotten eggs. I just changed all my spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, air filter, and it still dont run good. So then I took it to the dealership to get a diagnostic test done and they told me it was a fuel injector but they want to charge me a thousand dollars, so I need yalls help. I want to know how to change the fuel injectors and how do I know which one is bad? And if I do change that fuel injector will that cure my cars problem? I will grately appreciate it if yall can help me the most that yall can. THANK YOU

Thy did not tell you what injector it was? Does the car have a dead miss? How mechanical are you? Are you going to feel comfortable removing the upper intake manifold to complete the repair. A 1,000 bucks seems high for one injector.
