check engine light

the rear oxygen sensor on my 96 Sentra broke. When it broke the check engine light went on. I replaced the sensor but the light won't go off.

I think you have to use the scanner to reset the computer, I used to have the same problem whit my Maxima, just go to the nearest autozone and rent (for free) the scanner tool, connect the arness to the diagnostic port and read the codes stored on your computer, after that, delete them.

Its simple!
