having a problem with 2005 or so chevy impala. After driving to Santa Fe it sat for 2 hours and would not start. Would catch upon starter crank, but immediate die. Then 3 hours later started and ran ok. Week later it ran for 30 minutes and when sitting at idle it quit and would not restart. Do the engines still throw a code that can be read with a scanner? They used to send a code that logged into the computer and could be read even if they were intermittant i.e. throttle position sensor, oxygen sensor. by the way I'm told the mass air was replaced after it occured the first time. Since then the fuel filter was replaced
