I have a 2004 Impala with 47000 miles, easy driving, mostly highway, 16000 mi/yr. Dealer tells me transmisssion fluid is changing color and should be changed. Manual says 100,000 miles unless driving conditions are severe which does not fit my driving. Have others seen this on 04 Impala?

I know what they say the servicing intervals should be but I would suggest it be serviced at 50,000. It is just protecting your investment. They say that you dont have to change the oil on GM cars until the change oil soon light comes on. I have seen cars come in the shop for there first oil change at 12,000 miles. Would I recomend that..NO WAY.....It is totaly up to you....
