My 2003 impala suddenly stopped as I was driving> It was a sudden loss of power follwed by a tapping sound that sounded more like a ticking not anything like rods or pistons. what elase could it be. When I attempt to restart it you hear the fuel pump start and charge and you also hear the starter clunk one time and thats all.
