How do you remove the knock sensor on the back side of a 2003 impala 3.8l the one closest to the fire wall do I need to drain the antifreeze and what special tool do I use because I can not get a socket to it.

This knock sensor is very difficult to replace. The transaxle must be removed to access and replace the knock sensor (2) correctly.
