2002 Chevy Impala FRONT DRIVERS SIDE AXLE LEAKING

2002 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME , I NEED TO REPLACE THE FRONT AXLE SEAL ON THIS VEHICLE, NEED TO DO IT IN DRIVEWAY, WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO REMAOVE THE AXLE TO GET TO THE SEAL. CAN I REMOVE THE SPINDLE ASSY AND PULL THE AXLE OUT FAR ENOUGH TO REMOVE THE SEAL, OR CAN I SPLIT THE BALL JOINT AND PULL THE SPINDLE STRUT ASSY OUT FAR ENOUGH TO POP THE AXLE OUT AND REPLACE THE SEAL. IT HAS BEEN AWILE SINCE I HAVE DONE ONE AND JUST DOING RESURCH BEFORE I GET STARTED.

you need to undo the bolt on the wheel first then amack the axle with a hammer to break it loose. then take the wheel off, undo the nut that holds the ball joint on pop that loose, take a big screwdriver and pull the axle out all the way, replace the seal and reinstal everything.
