ok my car will start up then go off but the lights and everything still works!

How long will it run? Does it start up and immediately die? The security system may have it disabled. Are you using the right key? Not the spare key? In the past, I've had 'a little' luck by unhooking the negative battery for about 30 seconds and then reconnecting it. Sometimes, this will reset the PCM. If that doesn't work, get back with me and we'll get going on fixing you up.
