1996 Impala rear window

The rear window goes down crooked, you then have
to manually straighten it to roll up.
Heard something about some sort of donut type
thing inside that may have broke.

The track that it rides on is broken. I had the same thing happen to my 94 when I first bought it and the dealership replaced the entire track assembly for me. It might be as easy as just replacing a piece of the track, but the best thing to do would be take the door apart and find the pieces laying in the bottom and go from there. I now have to do that for my other rear window as it is doing the same thing.
