Why does my engine idle fine, but when the accellerator is depressed about 1/4 way down the engine stalls and starts backfiring?
Yes the check engine light is on.
I have changed the fuel pump about 2 weeks ago. I had a scanner hooked up to it and it gave 4 different codes: P0102, P0171, P0174 and P0300. I noticed when I wiggle the MAP sensor the engine tries to stall at idle speeds. I just didnt want to start replacing to high dollar sensors without first knowing if this could cause the problem.
