2005 Chevy Equinox front noise
Noises problem
2005 Chevy Equinox 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles
For a some time now it seems that when braking I would hear a noise in the front left side as though the wheel might be going over irregular pavement. It sounded almost as if the wheel was jumping up and down and making a noise Then yesterday as I was driving on the interstate at about 55 mph I heard the sound again as I made a slight adjustment turning the steering wheel ever so slightly to the left to stay centered in my lane. When I heard the noise (almost like a dull chatter) I turned the wheel back slightly to the right and it stopped. Each time I turned the wheel to the left I heard the noise and when I eased the wheel to the right it stopped.
What could cause the chattering sound?
