My El Camino at times will not crank when the engine warms up. It does not overheat. Yesterday I started her up because I had not done this is 2 weeks, left her idling for about 5 minutes. I switched her off and wanted to start her up again and it did not crank. The generator light came on, I do not think its the battery(new).

I would appreciate some guidance on the problem.

Try and give it a jump does it start if so
Start and check the charging system
check if the heat shield on the starter was removed
and if so you may need to have one
check ground wire

need manual CHECK IT @
