Chevrolet Corsica Repair Question

Overheating
WE have a 1996 corsica with a 1.3L. 130,000 miles.
We recently had the spring-loaded pulley, serpintine belt and the batteryt replaced. The car overheated and battery died when the pully broke.
Now the car overheats and the heater blows cold air. I have replaced the thermostat but that didn' solve the problem. There are no apparrent leaks in any of the fluids.
