My car is hard to start
I have a 1990 corsica with 100529 miles. it has a 3.1 automatic. have never had any problems till now. its been a great little peppy car. i even pull my 14 foot boat with it since gas is so affordable. ha ha. this happened out of the blue. it takes several attempts of cranking to start. when it finally starts i smell fuel out of the exhaust and a little smoke. i assume its from getting too much fuel. so maby for somereason its getting too much fuel while attempting to start. not really sure. i am a good back yard mechanic on my own vehicles but when it come to newer computerized stuff it throws me off a little. i was thinking it was the fuel pressure regulator but maby not. thanks for your time and help.
