1996 Chevy Corsica, needs engine

We were told that only 4 of 6 cylinders were working, broken cam, needs new engine. The engine size is 3.1m. Can a 2.2 engine be used out of a baretta?

I beleive so. Just check the wiring conections. And you mave have to use the transmission out of the bereta too(V6 has 4speed, 2.2 has 3speed). You might be better off finding a 3.1L and using it.
