1993 Corsica

I have a 1993 Chevy Corsica with 98,000 miles and it's a 6 cylinder. My car stalls if it even gets a little bit hot (right over the first line) and then i have to let it sit for over an hour before I can restart it. I took it to a repair shop and they don't know what's wrong with it but replaced the temp sensor. My car also surges when I go too slow.

What engine is it 2.2 or 3.1L

When it stalls give it about 10secs. then turn key to On, do you hear a relay click and the fuel pump come On ?

You might want to remove the idle air control valve and clean it, Also the EGR, and look for an exhaust backpressure being cause by the catalytic converter-then come back we still got a long way am not even 1/4 of it.
