Car will start when cold/ after driving it won't start for several hours -8 or more.

Are you saying the vehicle stalls on you, while driving, or it won't restart? If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse. Check for trouble codes.
