I read a thread on here about the BCM being a problem in some cases but it was not specific to my remote issue.

My daughter's remote quit operating the power locks so I purchases a new battery. The remote will open the truck release and activate the alarm, however, it will not lock/unlock the power door locks.

Can you suggest possible issues? It would not be a fuse would it since it does operate two of the components right?

Thank you.

It could be a fuse as they are different circuits, but if you have anotherremote for the car, try that and see if it will open thedoor. If it does then you'll need another remote. That's theeasiest before going into anything else.

This is they type of problem I deal with every day. The keyfobs for these vehicles can be problematic. The touch pad contacts are worn off. I agree with the other mechanic in saying that replacement of the transmitter is your only option.
