I just bought an 06 cobalt, only 24k on it, when I brought it home that night the check engine light came on, since the dealer is an hour away I had a mechanic plug some machine to get the code before I drove up there, hes saying its called "lein bank one" or something like that. He said probably an 02 sensor, is this a big deal for such a newer car with such low miles?

O2 sensors are funny sometimes.
It could be a bad sensor, or it could be from sitting around to long and all you need to do is drive it some more, or it can be an issue with something else in the system.

Did he clear the code after he read it? And if he did, has the light come on since?
Let me know.

Glad I could help. I doubt it's a lemon, it's probably just a fickle o2 sensor. Good luck.
