2005 Chevy Cobalt 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles
As I excelarate the car makes a humming noise and dies down when I come to a start. I noticed the car does not put out the power it used to and labors to get up to 65 miles an hour on the highway

Hi there,
In a case like this it is always best to do the simple things first, start with a full tune and scan for any unresolved fault codes, check all belts and pulleys for worn components re the humming noise, i am presuming that this noise is constant with engine speed?
