i have a chevy cheyenne with a 350 with 200,000 miles. recently it had a v6. Befor swapping out the motors i never had a problem starting it right up. but ever since the new motor i have been having trouble starting it up. When winter was here it would start up quick but now that summer is here it won't start. not even a noise when i turn the key forward. I had to rig it with a push start button. i hacked into one of the wires from the starter to the battery to a push start button on the inside and that is the only way to start it. without the push start button i am not able to start it with the key alone. I have to push the button and turn the key at the same time in order to start it. I thought it was just my truck but my mom has a suburban with a 350 and it does the same thing. WIERD!. Can anybody plz help me.
