1996 Chevy Chevette prolem with engine shutting down

1996 Chevy Chevette Two Wheel Drive Automatic 90000 miles
My corvette will start and run fine until it warms up. Once warm, it will shut down as though it isn't getting any gas. A few minutes later you you can start it again and run just fine for a short perion then shut down. What's this problem...or how can this be repaired?
