I have a 1997 cavalier z24 2.4L twin cam with 160,000 miles. My speedometer is late and only catching my desired speed late. It is not a smooth transition in the speed that is being shown it is choppy. I was lead to believe that is could be my speed sensor. If this is the problem where is it located and how do I change it?

Are u getting a check engine light on. If youre speedo is bouncy or late reading, Could be youre speedo cluster acting up.

Good Luck.

Speed sensor is located on your transmission left side
when your in front. All the way down rear engine you should see it on top right beside the axle.
