Hi, I have a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, 4 cyl, $50,000 miles on it. It had $30,000 on it when I had it. Well recently my service engine light came on and I wasnt sure what it was at first and got the run around about what it may be for quite some time. My brothers friend recently scanned it and said it may be a transmission sensor. Ok, im worried cause I have only had this car for a year and a half! My warranty is out so how much is this gonna cost me? Should I be worrying about my car breakin down on the highway somewhere while im drving? I havent had any problems yet since its been on for a while but im really worried! Is this going to set me back hundreds of dollars? HELP!

Ok, So u got the trouble code scanned? Whats the trouble code # is it showing. Now is the transmission slipping, Not shifting to well. Now is youre car and auto or Manual. Might just need tranny filter and fluid changed, I need to know what the trouble code is.
