I have a 2000 Chevy cavalier witrh the 2.2l with a tick which has been ticking for some time but the car has otherwise run well.
My wife was on the way home from work and the car started to run rough with no power.
The car seems to take awhile to build rpm's,
I changed the fuel filter ,plugs and wires.
still runs poorly.
It will go 60 MPH but takes 2 miles to get there if you try to bulild speed too fast it hesitates to the point you think the engine is going to shut off.

I disconnected the exhaust to check for a clogged exhaust.
I also put dry gas in to see if maybe she got some bad gas.

Whats next?

Thanks
C.J.

Try checking the Mass airflow sensor, it's a possiblity that it's either been disconnected and never reconnected or has simply quit working. If you have any futher questions dont hesitate to ask.
